Educating Orphans in Mali, Africa
Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “When the human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.”
Pious Projects is building a housing academy for Orphans in the city of Sikasso, Mali in Africa. The academy will be able to provide up to 500 orphans with basic needs and accommodate living arrangements for 150 of them. The academy’s goal is to provide the best possible education for these children, which not only include math, science, and english courses, but Islamic courses as well. The children will also have access to vital resources such as food, water, healthcare, and an on-site masjid. The campaign goal is to raise enough funding to maintain at least two of the ten intended classrooms in the academy. The money you donate will help bring this initiative to fruition, estimated to support 80 children per day.
